Patchwork, an Abstract Glass Mosaic
My abstract mosaics start with the scrap bin. This one is built from art glass offcuts saved from my stained glass and fused work, pieced together like patchwork, which is where the name comes from.
I let the colors lead, and the shapes ended up flowing like a loose landscape. It’s 12 by 9 inches, art glass and grout mounted on wood, with a sawtooth hook on the back for hanging.
It went home with a collector.
You can see more of my work on the glass mosaic wall art page. New mosaics go to my email list first. If you’d like to see the next one before anyone else, join the list.
