The Peanut Stained Glass Panel
This panel started with someone else's memory. In 2021 a client came to me with the memory of a peanut window at her grandparents' house, and she wanted to bring it back as a surprise for her mom.
There was no photo to work from, only the way they described the window from memory. So I built it from that: an amber peanut floating in deep blue, inside a border of bright geometric color.
The client asked for a bold border that follows what her mom remembered of the window, with reds, greens, purples and yellows cut into triangles and shards. In the sun, the textured amber glows, and the whole panel throws its colors across the wall.
This panel is 12.5 by 9 inches, smaller than the original window, but a sweet surprise for her mom.
If there's a window you remember like this, take a look at my commissions page. You can see more of my work on the stained glass panels page. New panels go to my email list first. If you'd like to see the next one before anyone else, join the list.
